Aletha Ens  - Owner/Tax Professional

I have been in accounting for 25+ years with various, yet extensive, work in many accounting fields. I am Certified by California to prepare all the various tax returns and am well versed in personal and business taxes, Quickbooks, multiple double entry systems, job costing, ERP software, payroll and creating better accounting systems for all types of businesses. I have 2 bachelor degrees, one in Marine Biology and one in Accounting. Yes, a drastic change, but the science and nature keep me sane and the numbers and logic come easy to me.

My accounting career started as a bookkeeper for a small government contractor, went on to running full accounting departments for an investment firm and then a manufacturing company in Los Angeles, followed by three years of tax accounting for a CPA on the central coast. As I progressed in my job preparing taxes for another business's clients and helping grow his business, I decided it was time for me to spread my wings and fly. Of course, with quite a bit of encouragement from colleagues and friends, as they knew my skill set much better than I in a time of change and of the unknown, I took a leap of faith and am growing every day. It has been very rewarding 15+ years thus far and hope to continue on this path as we grow the company.

For those that know me - thanks for the encouragement and wonderful referrals...they are my bread and butter. For those of you that don't know me yet...I pride myself on wonderful business ethics, friendliness, my accounting knowledge, my desire to help others, and my down to earth nature. I guarantee to live up to all of these aspects and more, for each and every one of my clients.

I grew up on the Central Coast and have lived in the area most of my life. I enjoy everything this area has to offer from the amazing adventures outdoors to the great local businesses and communities.
 
I started my accounting career over 10 years ago at Layered Accounting as a Bookkeeper while following my path in school for Accounting & Business. Aletha was the best mentor anyone could ask for and I was grateful to be part of her growing business for 5 years. I was away for 2 years and found my way back to Layered Accounting in 2021 where I was and still am excited to work with the great clients I missed and the opportunity to meet new ones.
 
I enjoy working with businesses from all industries and helping them succeed. I enjoy being able to take the stress of the accounting aspects from the business owners so that they can focus on their business and what they love to do.

Ali Skinner - Bookkeeper

I have lived on the Central Coast my entire life and am lucky to call it my home. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my pets.

In 2024, I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in biology. Soon after, I got the opportunity to work as a bookkeeper at Layered Accounting, where I can use the skills I learned in school to help businesses succeed. My strong work ethic, attention to detail, and curiosity have aided me in bookkeeping.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with so many small businesses from the Central Coast and elsewhere.​

Janohah Stemper-Warner - Bookkeeper

Hi, I'm Janohah Stemper-Warner. I was born and raised in Alaska- the Last Frontier- and moved to California's Central Coast in 2017 to be closer to my family, who have deep roots in Templeton and Creston dating back to the early 1800s. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worn many hats — from full-time student, barista, and manager to caterer, cook, and bartender on the Alaska Railroad. That role gave me the incredible opportunity to meet people from all over the world, all while surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery on Earth.

My background is rooted in hospitality, but after moving to California I transitioned into the banking and financial industry. It was during my time as a personal banker that I discovered my passion for numbers, problem-solving, and helping people better understand their finances. I like to think of myself as both detail-oriented and people-focused. Creating genuine connections and supporting others in meaningful ways has always been at the heart of what I do. I truly believe the universe led me to Aletha and Layered Accounting, and I'm so excited to begin this next chapter as a bookkeeper.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, traveling, cooking, spending time with my pets, exploring art, and being out in nature. I'm a dreamer at heart, with big aspirations to one day own a jazz club, an animal sanctuary, and even a helicopter business.

Jasmine De La Rosa  - Bookkeeper

Hi, I’m Jasmine. I was born and raised in Paso Robles alongside my brothers and dedicated mother. In my free time, I love being around my kitties and watching random movies my fiancé puts on.

I have two older brothers and two younger brothers, I’m stuck in the middle…My older brothers taught me how to take all sorts of criticism, allowing me to handle most challenges that come my way. My younger brothers taught me to be as caring and patient as can be. With that being said I have a natural sense of showing support to anyone and everyone.

Beyond family, my work experience has also played a big role in shaping how I go about my new bookkeeping life; I have worked various positions focused on customer service and numbers and have enjoyed it! My main goal within my bookkeeping path is to allow all clients to remain confident, trustworthy and stress free in regards to myself and the accounting work I am providing them.

Robbie Doty  - Bookkeeper

Hi, my name is Robbie Doty. I was born and raised in the small town of Templeton, and I’ve stayed local ever since. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which gave me the perfect foundation for the work I love doing today.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active in the gym, and jumping into just about any sport I can — my competitive nature definitely keeps things interesting.

Growing up, my goal was always the same: I wanted to help people, and I wanted to work with numbers and money. Accounting ended up being the perfect fit. It allows me to support people behind the scenes, help their businesses grow, and make sure everything runs smoothly on the financial side.
